Synaptics (SYNA +12.4%) soars after beating estimates and announcing two acquisitions. One of them, Pacinian, gives Synaptics a notebook keyboard solution that's 40% thinner than alternatives, while the other, an Integrated Device (IDTI) unit, provides LCD interface and panel refresh tech. FQ1 guidance is below consensus, but the Street is focusing on the fact a Synaptics in-cell touch controller appears to be in the next iPhone. Rivals are underperforming: CY +0.1%. ATML -0.2%.
