Nokia (NOK) agrees to sell its Qt software ops, which it obtained with the acquistition of Norway's Trolltech in 2008, to Finnish IT services company Digia. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but analysts reckon the price was well below the $150M that Nokia paid for Trolltech.

I don't see it. Selling it for a loss, for what purpose other than to raise cash, which means they are burning their cash reserves faster than anticipated perhaps?

This completes a sale of something they absolutely had no need for once they dropped Symbian. The hard facts as found in the last report should be given more weight than your conspiracy theories.

Its dead anyway, so its a wonder if they can sell it at all...to who?

Did they just agree to sell it, and said to themselves, yes lets sell it...or is there a buyer out there?

Good move. Digia will take on developing Qt further to cover iOS, Android and what most important to Nokia, also WP8. Excellent news!

No portfolio should be without NOKIA shares today and for a very long time to come it will be a good investment.

There goes Plan B on this front IF WP fails.

If WP doesn't fail, good move. But how necessary at this point?
