More on Spreadtrum's Q2: Q3 guidance is for revenue of $178M-$186M, compared with a $184.8M consensus. That appears to be disappointing investors, and is overshadowing the Q2 beat. Also, Q2 sales of 3G baseband and RF chips fell 28% Q/Q (albeit while rising 23% Y/Y). Given how Chinese 3G phone sales are taking off, that could be sparking fears of share loss to MediaTek and/or QCOM. Sales of 2G/2.5G chips rose 32% Q/Q, but ASPs fell 9.5%. SPRD -10.6% AH. (PR)
