Microsoft (MSFT) doesn't plan to sell its 26.2M share, 1.7% stake in Facebook (FB) when their lock-up period ends next week, says Bloomberg. The stake, purchased for $240M in '07, has strategic value for Microsoft: Facebook's search engine includes Bing results, Microsoft sells Facebook ads, and Bing recently added public Facebook content to its results. So when I do my math, if you give FaceBook a $20 stock price at 26.2 million shares that equals $524 million dollars. Microsoft paid $240 million dollars for the shares in 07. At the moment Microsoft is up over $250 million on that investment.

Look for the two to merge in the future.

Take a look at Sears Holdings on Monday.

Barrons today just wrote an article on them saying that the stock will double to $100.00.

    God bless us all.
