GMO's Ben Inker takes on the Bond King, explaining why poor recent stock results do not signal the "death of equities," but are instead a necessary reversion that will allow decent returns going forward. Also, there is little basis for Gross' linking of GDP growth and stock performance. "Whether GDP growth ... is going to be slower in the future is not ... a reason to expect a lower return on equities." The battle is joined.
