Lincoln National (LNC) is speeding up efforts to repay TARP ahead of its plan, which had it paying back in the second half this year or first half of 2011. LNC got a $1B infusion from the U.S.; once it follows Hartford (HIG), which recently made its repayment, it would leave AIG as the only insurer left in the program.
