Though the consensus on the Street is that management at Home Depot runs circles around the top dogs at Lowe's (LOW +0.5%), a solid Q2 from its rival isn't seen as bad news for the company. If Home Depot can improve margins by 11% off of a sub-2% sales gain, Lowe's stands a chance to do the same.

    I just bought wood from a local saw mill..happy to say even that the local mill is a good deal less expensive than HD or LOW's on the 4" wide tongue and groove pine wood I bought.

     

    I noticed HD's pine boards come from Sweden!
