Carlyle Group (CG) managing director Brett Wyard is leaving the firm, the first high-level exit since the May IPO. His departure comes as the firm is having trouble raising money for its latest distressed-debt fund (Wyard's area). Carlyle and other funds are positioning to bid on Europe's fire sale, but Europe isn't cooperating by selling as much as hoped.
