Though it's a bit hard to doubt Tesla Motors (TSLA +1.1%) founder Elon Musk's boyish exuberance over the future of his company's role in the electric vehicle market, he also has a nice financial incentive to see all the profound rhetoric actually become a reality. Musk was granted an option to buy 5.27M shares, loaded with an exercise price of $31.17 spread out over a 10-year vesting period. (SEC Form 4)

The Tesla vehicles haven't caught on fire. It has been Fiskar's gas engine components.

Elon Musk is only drawing a $30,000 (aprox.) paycheck. Now we can all see what his take away can be, when, and why he gets it.

I think that's pretty transparent compared to other auto CEOs.

This also gives some indication of Tesla's expectations for growth.

    These are pretty aggressive goals.

Arguably Mr. Musk is vastly overpaid. After all, he is getting 30,000 times what Apple was paying Steve Jobs in salary...

Elon Musk has consistently failed to meet deadlines on deliverables. Production targets have been moved back time and time again. He is a total promoter. The company is burning cash and will soon need to come back to the market to raise money. Industry wide sales have of electric vehicles have been abysmal. Tesla will ultimately go bankrupt. Stay away from TSLA at all costs!

You could not be more wrong. Elon will do fine. The units are going out the door as advertised. I do expect minor delays nothing material.

I pray you are NOT NOT short Tesla------
A day when the short sellers could knock the stock down quite a bit it is not happening-----
What do you think will happen to Tesla's stock if in the next couple of weeks they start to produce 20 cars a day??????
Another worry for the shorts is if Tesla has a successful secondary they will lose their shorts exposing what A-HOLES really look like------

Yes, Elon Musk has time and again failed to deliver stuff on the dates promised. Cars. spaceships, too.

He still got his private spaceship to the ISS ahead of the other folks. And, his 'late' electric car that blows the doors off every other entrant in this field, while taking longer than one would like at least so far, doesn't seem to spontaneously combust.

Never been able to keep my mouth shut-----

Bot another 34 Tesla Dec 30 calls at $3.10 a few minutes ago-----Thinking of buying another 50 if the stock gets stronger----

Believe a slight "short hug" started in the last 10 days and yesterday and today the hug is starting to be felt a little stronger-----
Just have a feeling this "short hug" is going to turn into a huge "bear short squeeze" over the next few weeks-----

WHY you ask????? because Elon Musk wanted his options priced around 31 before the envisioned short squeeze drives the stock past 40-----

Of course it's just an opinion from a fellow who believes Elon Musk is a "Modern Day, Hip, Cool Einstein-----

For better or worse I did pull the trigger and bot 50 more Tesla Dec30 calls at $3.30---now long 200 Dec30 calls with an average price of $3.20-----
    That's it for now---

Still believe good news is around the corner for Elon Musk is no one's fool and if he wasn't near term bullish on Tesla he would have waited to get a lower strike price for his mammoth option grant----

Things could change quickly but right this minute I'm feeling mighty GOOOOOOOOOOD----

In automobile Mag Elon Musk stated he would know in 6 months if Tesla was going to make it----he thought they would-----

Well that was it for me---I sold my Tesla calls, traded some puts and am now flat-----

I'll revisit Tesla if they make it---
