Silvercorp Metals (SVM +4.3%) shares surge after reporting an intercept of 4.55 meters grading 2,196 grams/metric ton silver, 13.63% lead and 1.38% zinc at its LM Mine in China. SLV says the drilling program has substantially extended the downdip and striking extensions of previously defined mineralization zones within some major vein structures.

Unfortunately, SVM has been a big loser for me the last couple of years. They put out "good news" along the way and the stock price goes up, then begins fading again. Look at the 2-year chart. Not very impressive! Notice the volatility. It appears to have periodic ups and downs that don't seem natural to me. Maybe this time will be different, but whatever happens will happen without me. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Just for kicks, compare the return for SVM and AG for the last two years.

The negative comments by Anthion Management et al are overhanging the market. It's the "No smoke without fire" syndrome. Just hang in there; SVM will recover. Sure, look at the chart but look at the basics also. And how many times has blindly following the charts been wrong?
