Sony (SNE) had only sold 2.2M PlayStation Vitas as of June 30, Engadget reports. That suggests Vita sales only amounted to ~250K/month after February, after witnessing strong early demand, and makes Strategy Analytics' full-year forecast of 12.4M look questionable. Meanwhile, Apple sold 17M iPads in the June quarter, and games now make up a huge share of smartphone/tablet app sessions. (PopCap survey)
