Some Groupon (GRPN) commentary: 1) In response to the WSJ's column, Dan Primack points out many of Groupon's pre-IPO investors remain loyal: VC firm NEA hasn't sold any shares, and Morgan Stanley and T. Rowe Price have added to their positions. 2) After looking at Groupon's Q2 10-Q, Grumpy Old Accountants can't figure out the economic reason for a Chinese investment swap, and wonders why it can't find inventories on Groupon's balance sheet, in spite of growing e-commerce sales.
