Though Barnes & Noble (BKS) piggybacked off the success of adult series Fifty Shades of Grey to beat expectations for books sales in its FQ1, it's the college segment that warrants attention according to analysts. Comparable college store sales fell 2.0% Y/Y during the period, which doesn't set up well for the current quarter in which the segment really needs to percolate. Shares of BKS +4.5% premarket.
