Consumer watchdogs groups want the FTC to step up its parenting of the Internet by adopting stricter online privacy protection rules for big brand marketing. Companies such as McDonald's (MCD) stand accused of using viral marketing practices at sites such as HappyMeal.com, as well as storing photos and videos of children without full parent consent.
