A judge yesterday ruled in favor of TransCanada (TRP) in a decision upholding the company’s right of eminent domain, rejecting a Texas landowner's claim that TRP must negotiate right-of-way with each landowner along the route of the proposed pipeline. TRP has received regulatory approval to build a 485-mile portion of the Keystone XL pipeline between Cushing, Okla., and Port Arthur, Tex.
