Count me as a new IPhone buyer. Have Android now. Can't wait to upgrade, but they better have a larger screen.

Why would you switch from Android to iPhone if I may ask ? What Android phone do you have ?

I know your question wasn't directed at me, but I thought I'd share my reasons.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and will upgrading to the next iPhone. The Galaxy Nexus is a great phone, but it's just not an iPhone. Android apps' quality is horrible compared to that of iOS apps, limited choices, and I didn't find it to be as intuitive as the iPhone despite looking more futuristic. And most importantly, smoothness and reliability. Jelly Bean fixed a lot of things, but the iPhone is miles smoother, Android still lags and it's particularly noticeable in 3rd party apps.

Having said that, I'm glad that we have options and that Google is working hard on Android, it has gotten a lot better over the last few years, but it's just no there yet.

Potential for upgrades in the furutre?
Open to viruses and phishing scams?
    Poor battery life?
Forced to buy the "next" great Android phone due to the above - where as iPhones remain viable easily for 3-4 years before the need to upgrade.

It'll have a larger screen. We've nearly already seen the phone as a whole based on the leaked production and parts pictures.

Maybe you are right, but in Europe we look at price/what you get ratio, and that's why less and less people are buying Apple products ... you have to give 1000 euro for something that is worth 500 euro or let say the same things you can achieve with 300 euro phone ... anyway I wish all the best for Apple, but I think that either they will have to decrease the price of iPhone 30-50% or they will be out of the game

Poor battery life ? Are you sure ? No smartphone can go 2 days with one charge so don't spread sentences like these on public web site please ... and this part "iPhones remain viable easily 3-4 years is the best " - just wondering why so many people who bought iPhone 4 or 4S want to upgrade to iPhone 5 (probably not because their phone is viable 3-4 years)

Well most Androids have larger screen, and I hope Samsung will not sue Apple because it decided to go for bigger screen...

Got a Samsung Galaxy S - signal is hit-or-miss (and seemingly at the worst times) battery life is awful, the task manager doesn't (at least not well) and I don't trust the security of the OS at all. iPhone here I come!!!!!

Switched from HTC android to iPhone and the difference is incredible, couldn't be happier, and looking forward to another iPhone.

HTC discontinued updating the software (after only 6 months) and the phone had glitchy behavior that was getting worse. The iPhone by contrast feels like quality and works very smoothly. Like what Apple is doing with iCloud too.

Are you sure that your HTC phone was with Android and not with Windows Mobile 6.5 ?

Have you ever taken a statistics course? You don't need a specific N to get a statistically sound survey.

You are probably rich man, I just bought Dell Latitude E6510 used, for 400 euros, and I couldn't be happier. Will never buy anything from Apple as it is just too expensive (unreasonably expensive). Good luck with Apple laptops ;)

I am a long time iphone user, but after checking out the new Samsung Galaxy S3 which came out a couple of weeks ago, I am switching soon. It has 2 times the batter life of my iphone, much larger screen size yet it is lighter. The screen is ridiculous! Looks HD. And I am tired of waiting for aapl to make a 4G phone, get with the times.

Yeah the sky is the limit. Apple will rule the world. We will all become clones and communists and use only one phone. The stock will grow to heaven. Don't miss the train. Just like everyone got rich on flipping condos in Florida or Spain.

Give me a beak, robbieboggie.....if you're such a hater, what are you doing on this thread? In any event, put your money where your mouth is and short the stock....we'll compare notes in a year and see just how foolish you were (that is if you actually got the balls to short the stock!)

Getting the new one as soon as it comes out, in part because for some travels the faster network will be welcomed (though in many of the places I recently returned from there was not even 3G service....) and in part because Gazelle.com is offering me just $29 less than I originally paid for my one year old 4s.
