Apple (AAPL) will sell its new iPhone in its own retail stores and at Walmart (WMT); now Best Buy (BBY) says it will start to take pre-orders tomorrow. The iPhone will become available nearly everywhere, but customer service offered by other retailers is likely to prove a big dropoff. Apple may be repeating the mistake made when it paired with AT&T (T) as its provider of 3G service.

Been waiting for the phone to show up on the Verizon network along with a couple million others. ATT service sucks and I will not use it.

verizon had their chance and passed!!! so they decided to partner up with google instead. and those who think that the verizon network will hold up with all of the data drain that the iphone provides to the T network are kidding themselves. the VZ network will suffer as well. why is the 4g netowrk so good on Sprint, because no one uses it!!!

"mistake?" is their business horrible? diff between T and VZ is way over-hyped.
