Amazon (AMZN) boasts it now offers 15M items for shipment via its $79/year Prime 2-day shipping service, and that more items are delivered using Prime than using free Super Saver Shipping. Prime has contributed to Amazon's e-commerce share gains, but has also damaged its operating margins. Separately, Amazon has launched Glacier, a slow-but-cheap cloud storage service meant for backup and archiving. Glacier complements the faster, costlier, and quite popular S3.

For busy people shopping online saves time. It sells the most books and dominates the e-book reader market. Look for a speech app similar to siri.

I haven't tried it, but there is something already approaching that called speaktoit assistant, in the AMZN app store.

I would still buy APPL at 800 than AMZN at 200.

Still not *actually* making any money though are they?

Should I buy the shares so I can stick the certificate up on the wall like my Zimbabwe dollars?

New Kindle Fire line will be of interest, including its links to Prime; however, I'm guessing AMZN will start charging more for Prime, in which case they'd better offer something better than the streaming video and lending library lineups they currently have. Perhaps they ought to consider splitting Prime into two: Prime Ship and Prime Media.
