Having created a supercomputer that beats "Jeopardy!" champions, IBM is now developing "Watson" for commercial applications, which the company believes could generate billions. Watson is already crunching data for Citigroup and WellPoint; ultimately, a Watson app for a smartphone would be able to answer consumer questions, such as about their health.

    Has anyone seen the Will Smith movie I Robot... it doesn't end well for us humans (particularly because I don't think Will Smith is really a man-robot).

     

    Kidding of course; really cool and hoping it leads to bigger and better things!

    If Watson simply understands English, unlike AAPL's Siri which cannot half the time, IBM will have a potential winner
