Samsung (SSNLF.PK) doesn't let its IFA 2012 product launch (previous) end without announcing the ATIV S, its first Windows Phone 8 device. The ATIV S sports a 4.8" AMOLED display and is just 8.7mm thick. The announcement comes ahead of a Sep. 5 Nokia (NOK) event, during which the company is expected to announce two WP8 models. In light of Samsung's move, it definitely wouldn't hurt if one of the Nokia devices featured a PureView camera. (live blog) (earlier: I, II)

Samsung has AAPL over the barrel with their cameras.

Better for apple to leave the camera's to the one's who know how to deliver.
Perfect, that little 1B hit on the pat dispute will be be sucked up shortly.
Went to switch out my iphone for an HTC but they were out. Again.
    I'll wait i guess.

As expected, the "willful copier" SamSame is at it again. That "new" WP8 phone looks exactly like the iPhone, and the "new" WP8 tablet looks exactly like the Galaxy / iPad tablet.

The question is, will they get banned before or after Oct 26.

The iPhone doesn't exactly have a complex design. In fact, if you want to build a touchscreen phone with a rectangular display, no keyboard, and not too many buttons, it's hard not to have it look a little like the iPhone.

Westkite for some reason your comments suggest a deep ingrained hatred towards Nokia lols.

    the question is Why?

Is it because NOK never went down to $1 like you suggested it would or that Nokia still is not bankrupt as of today? You stayed pretty quiet during the run up to $3+ but now that Nokia is back on the decline your "noise" is slowly but surely picking back up with a vengeance.

Also this comment you made in another thread I quote http://seekingalpha.co...
"I notice that some of the people who were making comments 1 to 2 months ago are no longer making any comments. Played the game very well: get online tell people to buy or sell by feeding them a lot of BS, then when they make the profit, leave. Very well done. What a bunch of ASS and BSs. I have been telling people not to listen to people online, and their actions are proofs."

you are surely not talking about yourself are you lols :) :)

jimdart, I normally shy away from making negative personal comments, I actually have a good "relationship" with people like Dalatin and madav and even Bilton I sometimes can agree with.

But westkite just seems to make snide remarks about Nokia and wishes harm to the people that invest hard earned money into the stock.

In a way its just childish.

Samsung's trying to calm investor fears over their Android Apple quandary by hastily releasing WP8 phones and W8 tablets, some with out prices. The more news about Microsoft, Nokia and Windows Phones the more aware the public will be that their are really three (3) viable choices for their mobile device needs and that's really good for Microsoft and Nokia. Worth $100s of millions in advertising.

Let's talk about the real company that has copied everything, and that is Apple. Apple did not invent a thing, all they did was design a solution based upon other's research and technology.

What about Sony? If I were Japanese, I'd probably buy that new Sony phone over the Iphone. Some people do have Nationalistic feelings and want to see local companies succeed. Samsung has defeated Japan in the consumer electronics space, but as we all well know, it is very hard to maintain being #1!
