Telefonica (TEF) has reportedly hired several i-banks to underwrite and find investors for an IPO of its O2 Germany unit. The international carrier, which is keen on reducing its heavy debt load, is thought to be interested in selling a 20% stake in O2 Germany for €1B-€1.5B. Telefonica is also believed to be considering an IPO for some of its better-performing Latin American divisions. (yesterday)
