Gambling revenue in Macau rose a bit slower in August than anticipated, according to new data issued from Macao's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau. Revenue moved up 5.5% Y/Y, ahead of last month's pace of 1.5% but short of analysts projections calling for 7%-9% growth. The numbers out of the former Portuguese colony are closely watched with revenue from the region 5X higher than that of the Las Vegas Strip.
