A deal between Skype (MSFT) and financial clearing provider MACH will allow Skype credit purchases to be directly charged to mobile phone bills. Consider this one more step in the VoIP giant's emergence as a major carrier in its own right. TeleGeography estimates Skype, which Microsoft paid an eye-popping $8.5B to buy, accounted for 1/3 of all long-distance traffic last year.
