Activision (ATVI +3.7%) outperforms following an upgrade to Overweight from Piper, which is encouraged by a fall game lineup that includes refreshes for the Skylanders, World of Warcraft, and Call of Duty franchises. The firm also thinks Activision has "out-executed peers" as of late, and argues shares are primed to break out of a trading range that dates back to '09. (Vivendi sale efforts)

So here is the deal: a random analyst at Piper just gathers public data about the company upcoming games and puts it in a report, and suddenly the stock is up 4%. Investors are so smart.

It looks like this isn't limited to ATVI. Both EA and Take Two are up around 4-5% as well at time of writing. NASDAQ is up 2% overall.
