Filmmaker Ric Burns is creating a documentary about Goldman Sachs (GS), but don't expect it to be exactly unbiased: Goldman is paying for the film, has editorial control and is overseeing the project through its marketing department.

Their rep is in the toilet. Time to pull out the stops and make a glitzy production for the public to suck up!
Going to take a lot of lipstick to make this pig look any different than it is!

That's the kind of imagery I was contemplating too!

Or perhaps Lloyd Blankfein in Batman, the Caped Crusader, to the Nth degree with Fabulous Fab as Robin, the boy wonder!

I thought the accounting reduction in earnings was a nice PR stunt... we need more?

OHMIGAWD! It just clicked - whomever stars in the film will be an overnight expert in the financial services industry, talk shows, expositions everywhere as to where they are correct and we are mere ignorant boobs....

...and it will have to win an Oscar or two. If fatty Goreballs can get one for public deception - it assures this one of at least three, one suspects.

Lost all respect for Burns. Never had it for GS. They also need to go down.

Ric Burns has a future making infomercials and that's about it. I hope he is not related to Ken Burns.

    I think it's Goldman's way of doing it's PR-they have a pocket deep enough for a glitzy-high-end campaign.

it's not a documentary if the subject is paying for it! it's an infomercial. it's a fluff-o-mentary.

When I see something ridiculous going on, I always revert back to remembering Arnold Schwartzeneger is the Gov of California, slightly more ridiculous. Please pass the popcorn.

Why would Goldman seek to rewrite history with a marketing tool like this? Its not going to change views of the company and will only be seen as a ridiculous attempt to clear their image.

Violent, but infrequent Monsoons, blow or wash away valuable topsoil. I have electricity now, but lived " off the grid " for 8 years. Photovoltaics only! OK, after that rather extensive detour, here is the comment that I had prepared. Don't rush me, I'm thinkin'. Oh yeah, now I remember! " Where is Michael Moore when you need him?"
