ShopperTrak forecasts retail holiday traffic will rise this year for the first time since 2007 with shopping trends looking positive. The data firm sees U.S. retail sales up 3.3% Y/Y and foot traffic gaining 2.8% for the holiday period.

    Holidays sales are going to be great. Private jobs growth continues, savings rate is up, disposable income rising pretty nicely.....everything points to a huge beat in holiday sales.

    Really? My disposable income is materially lower than it was last year, and I'm personally familiar with many people who've seen their unemployment benefits expire, yet can't find even a minimum wage job.

     

    Perhaps the recovery passed my region by (northern NV).
