    Also C$.09853 = US$.0989 which gives a US Div annual % of 8.06.

It's in my IRA. I love that monthly income. I'm long.

It will be interesting to watch the stock price today. Yesterday's substantial decline -- almost 10% -- was on very high volume.

The "negative" in the quarterly announcement was that there was inadequate coverage for the quarter's dividends. But that seems to be a "timing" issue due to money expected in September being paid to AT in October.

I'm not sure what else was behind this large drop, except possibly fear of a Romney election, with more emphasis on coal and a raise in interest rates as the funny-money Bernacke fix is withdrawn; well, that fear is gone.

So let's see today's action. Maybe there is something negative behind the scenes at AT, but I don't see it.

Poor payout ratio for the quarter and raising payout ratio guidance for the 2012 year to 97 - 102%; uncertainty regarding the two expiring power plant contracts in Florida (one in 2013, one in 2014); delayed payments from litigation results (to 2013); two analyst downgrades; recent advances in stock price = significant drop...
Management did however state on the conference call that they were confident in the safety of the dividend.
