Stocks remain positive but well off early highs as ugly industrial production data reveal just how bad the U.S. economy remains - so bad that John Ryding of RDQ Economics thinks the results swayed the Fed’s decision to push all-out stimulus. Although the unwinding of "special factors" should help data in September, RDQ expects little improvement in underlying production trends

Wake up, we need a new direction in Government first, then the economy will follow.

Correct neil459. Maybe letting the markets price themselves would be a first. Oixie dust every month and the threat of more just blows up the bubble even bigger. Then POP! Govt need to let the markets price the assets based on fundamentals not govt stimulus

the problem originated in markets which were essentially unsupervised. they were created by market makers who were essentially lying about their product and confirmed by rating agencies who fraudulently attested to the high quality of the product.

we should go back to that, eh? it worked so well for us? maybe invade iraq again too, huh.

User 509088, no one ever indicated that we should not enforce the law. So yes we do need to go back, but we need to enforce the law of the land at the same time.

Oh and remove the government requirement to finance homeowners that were/are not able to pay back the loans. Then we would not have needed the lies about their products.
