What this story doesn't tell you is that this is exactly what DirecTV requested the FCC to have happen so they could partner with CLWR. Now the red carpet for DTV or Dish is ready.

Thanks, Mattster. In retrospect we had to expect TWC would bail on this. It fell off my radar somehow. As someone else posted on another article, "There are a lot of moving parts with CLWR." I don't know if I am up to it. I am getting too old for this.

I think you are right. One door closed. More were opened. Will be interesting to see who picks up the 7.8% share. Will probably be months before we know. I am thinking it was probably worked out in advance.

You had a real "Paul Harvey" moment there in my book: "And now you know the rest of the story." :)

Well if the price drops some more I'd like to pick up a few of them. Something has got to break here pretty soon it's been pretty quiet.

So, when the dust all settles on this transaction, what do you see as the long term impact on Clearwire going forward and how will this impact bottom line revenue and stock price?

It appears to be a bit different than the forecast having removed TWC.

Interesting post, thanks. I wonder what Time-Warner paid per share for their stake?
Looking on Google finance CLWR shares were between 15 and 5 bucks in 2008. Think they made anything on it?
Probably did a Google on it and bit the bullet.

Everyone has bitten the bullet on this. Starting with Intel and their buy in to WiMax. Huge losses. If this stock were a bond it would be the king of junk bonds.
