Oracle (ORCL) guides on its FQ1 earnings call (webcast) for EPS of $0.59-$0.63, in-line with a $0.61 consensus. But revenue is expected to be flat to up 4% Y/Y, below a 4.7% consensus - the company is clearly depending on buybacks and cost controls to meet EPS estimates. New software license/cloud subscription revenue is expected to be up 5%-15%, while hardware revenue is expected to fall another 8%-18%. Shares are virtually changed AH. (FQ1 results: I, II)
