Shares of Zagg (ZAGG +1.4%) bounce around as SA author Worthless Pennies speculates that the company could be the target of a SEC probe. Thought it's only anecdotal evidence at best, a response by the SEC to a Freedom of Information Act request mirrors that of a company under investigation.

SA this is disgraceful. Since when does this site publish based on anecdotal evidence? and plus I wouldn't even agree it is anecdotal. There is ZERO evidence in the article. "A response by the SEC to a Freedom of Information Act request mirrors that of a company under investigation" Yes but it also mirrors several other scenarios.

I really think the bears need to stop coming up with non-sequitor logic. Zagg is a great company and they're going to skyrocket in January after HzO is commercialized.

I think if there is an investigation it's against 2 Grumpy Accountants and the other fellow that caused their shares to tank this Summer through poor analysis and accusations of fraud. That's probably why the SEC isn't releasing any details at the moment.

They could even in a very loose way be attributed to the margin call of the former CEO of Zagg tha created all the rah rah. I think the company didn't see it coming because they didn't think such a poorly written set of articles and misreports could cause their stock so much damage so quickly. That's probably why they kept the CEO in place at that time -- that they were confident in their company and his margin call issue would never arise again.

I agree this article smells. Speculative investing? This is getting as bad as pump and dump publications.

Please require better writers on your site SA. Require them to show all holdings quarterly and options. Require it to be visible on their portfolio in order for their article to be visible. Require that any author has holdings of some type or have had holdings within the last year. Do something to show transparency of agenda and fiscal responsibility to society in order for your publication to hit the ticker. This rubbish shows directly below the ticker on all major search engines. That's yellow journalism and it isn't the first time you've allowed it to happen.

SA, I would think the original article would violate your own terms of use (pick almost any one of the criteria) and yet you link back to the article with a 'only anecdotal evidence at best' comment? Unreal.

What a pitiful attempt. If anything, "Worthless Pennies" should
    be investigated ! ! !
