Argus thinks MasterCard (MA -0.3%) teed itself up nicely for future earnings beats by lowering its Q3 and Q4 guidance with drivers still in place. The firm sees MasterCard as a beneficiary of the secular shifts in the payments industry toward mobile and contactless payments as it ups its price target on shares by $50, to $525.
