TSMC (TSM) is receiving follow-up orders from iPhone 5 (AAPL) suppliers thanks to stronger-than-expected demand, Digitimes reports. With many expecting 50M or more iPhone 5 sales by year's end, monthly chip shipments are now expected to total 10M-15M from September to November. Among the iPhone 5 suppliers relying on TSMC: QCOM, BRCM, OVTI, CRUS.

50 m units at least by Christmas, and people are selling Apple like it's worthless. Amazing. And they don't even realize the mini iPad could be almost as big a deal. So by January you could have 50 million new Apple customers around the world, and they are likely to stay that way for the rest of their lives, affluent customers with credit card who can buy things on line. One thing people forget is that in the developing countries very few people have credit cards, so cheap Android or other cheap smart phones usually sell to people with no ability to buy online, including downloads and aps. This is also Facebook's problem. But all Apple buyers will have credit cards as they are the top-line customers. I still see Apple over $800 by January and bought more today on this senseless sell-off.

I agree. What are people thinking? I am still waiting for my I Phone 5 and I intend to stay invested in Apple.
