Sharp (SHCAY.PK) says it's now making "adequate volumes" of in-cell touch panels, many of which (if not all of them) are going to Apple (AAPL) for use in the iPhone 5. A shortage of in-cell panels, also supplied by LG Display (LPL) and Japan Display, is believed to be responsible for early iPhone 5 supply shortages. Meanwhile, iPhone 5 sales are commencing in 22 additional countries today, as well as with smaller U.S. carriers such as Leap Wireless (LEAP).

I remember many, many years ago, we had to wait months for a telephone.

When we finally could get one, we bought two.
