Macro-economic fundamentals do not matter much except in so far as they relate to expectations of further credit easing or tightening as that is what drives stock market prices most.

The Developed Economies of the world have a collective deficit of over $40 Trillion. Debt service on this averages roughly $1 Trillion per year. Governments must either tax for these funds or print more money. Either choice drags on GDP which in turn drags on PMI.
