MetLife (MET) has won another extension from the Fed on its stress test, giving it until January 5, 2013 to resubmit its capital plan under the Federal Reserve’s capital plans rule. This makes the second extension this year as the company continues to shed assets to minimize Fed oversight, which will allow the company to start raising its dividend and begin repurchasing its shares.
