Spain is prepared to request an EU bailout as soon as this weekend, but Germany wants Madrid to wait because of political considerations, especially so soon after the Bundestag authorized the €100B rescue of Spanish banks, Reuters reports. The countries have played down the speculation. Brussels wants Spain to apply for aid and won't impose conditions harsher than the reforms the country has already announced.

The recidivist thief is always in a hurry to commit the crime and abscond with the loot whilst the victim naturally wants to delay the pillage.
This is not a loan or "aid" but a taking and plundering : both Spain and Germany know it.

Especially since Germany's exposure will be revealed, you mean, as Spain is then legally forced to list.

How much more criminal does this have to get before Germany becomes an island?

And just what are those 'political considerations' driving Germany's elites to ask the Spanish elites to stand down for awhile? Oh I see, its an elite thing. I just wouldn't understand. Really? Its so obvious it doesn't take an elitist to understand it. They need a little more time to do their sentiment shift thing. Wouldn't what those who will be bilked for billions to see that as anything but positive. Spin Doctors, to your mark!
