Apple (AAPL) sold a relatively healthy 27M iPhones in the September quarter due to strong initial sales for the iPhone 5, estimates Sterne Agee's Shaw Wu. Wu also notes iPhone 5 shipping times remain at 3-4 weeks for Apple's online store, and claims yields have improved for the in-cell touch panels considered responsible for supply shortages - in-cell supplier Sharp recently suggested as much. My iPhone is being delivered today, 8 days after I input the order with ATT. The original promise was to expect it around Oct 21-28. Deliveries are improving.

Tried 3 times to get in the Apple Store this weekend at Southpark Mall in Charlotte. The store was wall to wall people even at 7 pm on Saturday night.

I was told the two I ordered will be here at end of October. Also, they were only allowing two per customer.

what i dont understand is why is the stock going down? Is the stock market rigged? they are selling out of there product and peopel are dumping the stock and they got the mini ipad coming out. People barely use the maps anyways on phones. people can't dump the stock over a map application. THis stock stuff is pretty ridiculous. The company sold out of its entire inventory. I can see them saying oh maps was so bad they didn't even sell out of there phone and people droppign the stock but they sold out of everything they had what else does apple have to do? Google has motorola and stock keeps going up the company is barely worth half of apple apple going to be a trillion dollar company. They just got china mobile what else do they have to do? Are people that clueless over a map app they are dumping the stock?

The China Mobie deal isn't here yet, it's expected, when it comes, the stock should respond to that deal....

It sounds as though the in-cell at Sharp was indeed the supply bottleneck...

Seems like thes guys are already receiving their phones, I want to know where the heck my phone is...

apparently there is a large part of the apple investors who are presently unaware of the internet usage charges that some of the 1st users are having. This I believe is the real problem with Iphone 5. This must be corrected before this becomes a insurmountable sells problem.

This is only on the Verizon network and there is a fix that is already out for this. These are software issues that can be fixed very quickly, and I I would think that it should have little negative impact on the stock.
