U.K. regulator Ofcom plans to commence its 4G LTE spectrum auction at year's end, with the hope of seeing the spectrum used to offer LTE services in 1H13. Vodafone (VOD) and O2 (TEF), who just saw regulators sign off on their network-sharing deal, must be pleased with the news, since it shortens the 4G head-start claimed by Everything Everywhere (FTE, DTEGY.PK), which is also expected to bid in the auction.
