The breakdown of Gap's (GPS) September sales shows broad gains across U.S. brands offset a drop in its international segment. CEO Glenn Murphy attributes the performance to "trend-right product" - a sentiment which falls in line with retail watchers who say Old Navy and Banana Republic are back in sync with consumer tastes. For the year, Gap's sales are up 6% compared to last year. GPS -1% premarket.
