A consortium of energy companies says it is moving forward with a $45B project to build an 800-mile natural gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope that will export liquefied natural gas to Asia. XOM, COP, BP and TRP agree on a plan to combine what were once two competing projects destined for the continental U.S. into one project aiming at overseas markets.
