The tentacles of creditors reach a long way as an Argentine naval vessel is seized in Ghana as  part of hedge fund Elliot Capital's attempt to collect on bonds which Buenos Aires defaulted on in 2001. "Vulture funds have crossed a new limit in their attacks on the Argentine republic," says the foreign ministry.

So does that mean China has the right to one of our aircraft carriers?

However, wonder what you do with Argentine vessel, what is scrap steel pricing for today.

You repo'd my battleship! The new parker brothers game...

Sounds like Blackwater may have a new growth segment...

So what kind of hardware did the hedge fund require to seize the vessel against the sailors? That's pretty incredible...

Does that mean that as a former GM bond holder I can test drive some new GM cars and not return them to the lot?

That naval vessel might make a good private yacht, you wouldn't have to worry about Somali pirates.

There is a certain sense of irony here since Argentina seized YPF from Spain.

Scrap metal my bootie mate....these bankers are going to need a place to hide soon...and a battleship would be a good place...somewhat defensible for awhile...until the hords take it over..

This sounds like a dangerous precedent if it stands.
