AMD (AMD +3.2%) closes the day higher as MKM's Daniel Berenbaum (kind of) makes a contrarian call, upgrading shares to Neutral. While believing AMD is "still verging on irrelevancy," Berenbaum thinks the chipmaker's problems - said to include execution issues, a weak competitive position relative to Intel in PC CPUs, and a "total lack" of a compelling server CPU offering -  are now reflected in its cratered stock price.
