Gannett (GCI) threatens to stop broadcasting on Dish (DISH) if the satellite TV provider doesn't drop the ad-skipping feature on its digital-video recorders or agree to pay large penalties. If Gannett makes good on its warning, Dish subscribers in 19 cities, including Atlanta and Washington, would lose access to various ABC, CBS and NBC-affiliated channels. Witching hour is midnight on Sunday.

Absolutely love the ad-skipping feature on DVRs. Will side with DISH which I have and enjoy daily.
Does other satellite not provide ad-skipping from the DVR ?

You don't believe you should have to pay for the content you watch on DISH? Only the people who don't have DISH should have to watch the commercials for those corporations paying for the shows you're watching?
