Bakken oil prices in September traded at a premium to WTI for the first time in nearly a year, and analysts say the premium could continue for another year. Although it could hurt margins for Midwest refiners, pump prices could ease for drivers along the coasts. Credit goes to new rail lines and terminals built by TSO, EOG, STO and others, which are hauling the geographically isolated crude to refineries.
