In the latest twist in the dispute between BP (BP) and its Russian billionaire partners in TNK-BP, AAR, which represents the partners, intends to sell its 50% stake in the JV to a third party or sell some of the shares in an IPO. AAR said yesterday that the move would give it more flexibility if BP sells its 50% holding to Rosneft.

Ho Ho. Sounds like that even hiring Rothschilds to drum up financing, nobody who has watched the misery that BP has been through will touch AAR with a pole. And AAR know they won't get away with the same games with a state entity like Rosneft, they would be skinned alive. So I would guess game set and match to BP, with a strong link between BP and Rosneft, and the AAR half then sucked up at a bargain basement price by Rosneft. So I would guess a substantial share exchange between BP and Rosneft. But then, what do I know?
