The IMF is pushing the EU and ECB to approve a third bailout for Greece or take a haircut on the country's bonds in order to reduce its debt to more sustainable levels, MarketWatch reports. The speculation comes ahead of Angela Merkel's visit to the country today. Publicly, the IMF and EU are calling on Greece to do yet more, with the latter outlining 89 steps the government must take.
