Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) is partnering with Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) on a 10" Nexus tablet, says NPD's Richard Shim, whose July Kindle Fire predictions were more right than wrong. The tablet is said to be a high-end product, and will feature a higher-resolution display (2500x1600) than the one in the new iPad (2048x1536). Every high-end attempt to compete with the iPad has fallen flat, partly due to the iPad's huge lead in tablet-specific apps, though Google is finally making a serious effort to narrow that gap.
