Apple (AAPL) is gearing up to sell 45M iPads next year, says Ticonderoga analyst Brian White. That's some $30B of revenue, almost as much revenue as the entire company generated in 2008. "Not bad for a product that didn't exist six months ago," Henry Blodget writes. Analysts at JPMorgan and elsewhere lift EPS estimates.

Too bad we don't make them in America.

    Boom times for FoxConn.

Got to love the fact that FoxConn are going "rural" to find cheaper wages. The city folk want more than bowl of rice and a couple of dollars a week.

That's got to be great for Apple's bottom line.

    Brian should sharpen his Ticonderoga pencil - $499 x 45M = 22B
And I'm sure it didn't take away any potential sales from other products?

$499 is for the bottom-of-the-line, WiFi-only iPad. The ASP is higher than that.

right - they have a 499,599 and 699 model so for estimation purposes lets assume they sell ALL 699 models = +31B in revenue and ZERO impact on estimates for other products as well - what a beautiful world. What's next Jobs farts and it smells like sunshine?

Those are, again, the WiFi-only prices. The 3G-enabled ones top out at $829. White's numbers indicate an ASP of $667, or roughly the midpoint of the overall iPad price range. It doesn't seem unreasonable, assuming you accept the 45M unit figure (which is easier to argue with).

Un-freaking-believable! Jobs must be some kind of alien (anyone see 'The Man Who Fell to Earth'?). How in this world can one company keep coming up with hits like this? As Douglas Adams observed: 'I have always suspected that there is something fundamentally wrong with the world" (or something like that). Jobs proves we're living in the Matrix, since he can't possibly be for real...

W.T.F. It's pretty hard to sell all those worthless toys when people wont have enough money to put food on the table. Can you eat that piece of shit? Market cap of Apple? $250 BILLION? Really? One quarter of a trillion dollars, for some really cool toys, each and everyone of us will throw away when we need to eat. The second tech wreck coming? 20% I believe of the market cap of the NASDQ? Man if I had the cash, I would short the hell out of apple. Wake up America,"Ever have the feeling you've been cheated"? Johnny Rotten, from Sid and Nancy...
