A sign of things to come? HTC says it's exiting the U.S. tablet market - the Taiwanese Android OEM has struggled to compete with the iPad and (to a lesser extent) the subsidized Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. Motorola, Research In Motion, and (in the U.S. at least) Samsung have all seen their tablet sales underwhelm, and competition is about to intensify as dozens of Windows 8/RT tablets hit the scene.

The latest victim if Apple. Now you see why Apple has enemies. They literally put whole divions of companies out of business. Next, watch 50% sales drops in Nexus and Kindle Fire going into the Xmas season, a huge blow to those companies. Samsung dares to challenge Apple in atblets, but they too will get cut down to size. Apple rules the pad world. And the mini iPad cements that. Unless you are a real budget shopper, you will buy an Apple pad and no other.

the initial supply of 10+ million mini iPad will probably be sold out in less than an hour after it is introduced... It will also be the most sought-after Christmas gift. People willl hoard these mini iPads and sell on eBay and oversea for profit. In the meanwhile, all those other tablet will sit on the shelf and be bought only by people who just cannot get their hands on the Apple iPads, or people who are permanently anti-Apple.

basically I see this, Apple vs Android, with Amazon getting the spares only because they have a nicely developed ecosystem and cheap prices. Everyone else... done. Microsoft will fall hard, they are 3 years late to the game. Of course this is speculation, but Microsoft is becoming more irrelevant by the minute. If I didn't do pc gaming every once and awhile, my windows pc would be gone.
